International Energy Saving Day falls on February 18th. Established in 2005 following the entry into force of the Kyoto Protocol - the international treaty against global warming signed by 184 countries - it is an opportunity to further raise citizens, companies and governments' awareness of the importance of a lifestyle focused on sustainability. Reducing waste and choosing clean energy from renewable sources are among the basic principles of a "green" existence.
On the occasion of International Energy Saving Day, Very serene restaurant recalls some of the most significant goals achieved on the sustainability front in the past year. In 2023, the Mogliano Veneto Cooking Center has in fact taken a big step forward. Thanks to the installation of photovoltaic panels, the company managed to generate 9.698 kWh of clean energy and 16.252 kWh of excess energy, beyond that consumed directly.
These numbers demonstrate Serenissima Ristorazione's commitment to actively participating in the construction of a greener future. By reducing its ecological footprint, the Group pursues one of the macro-objectives present in the 2030 Agenda, the action program for people, the planet and prosperity signed in September 2015 by the governments of the 193 UN member countries.
