The strength and solidity of the Serenissima Ristorazione Group is measured in their ability to conceive and implement customised project solutions, which involve great investments, not only economically, but also in resources, ability and experience.
An example is the large cooking centres constructed through project financing and managed by Serenissima. Production, supply, transport of the meals and related services are all managed through a single contact, which enables Serenissima to provide efficient management and controls of all the processes to guarantee constant quality and safety.
The latest in the Group’s portfolio is the cooking centre in Boara Pisani, near Padua, which was inaugurated in 2009. An investment of 20 million Euros, 8,500 square meters total area, a production capacity of more than 30,000 meals a day and occupying 250-300 operators when running to standard. One of the largest and most advanced cooking centres in Europe, preparing the meals with the cold chain in the Cook&Chill process. The Boara installation was designed and constructed with the maximum respect and attention for environmental impact and energy saving: in fact the centre’s cogeneration plant produces 65% of the electricity that is needed for the centre.
In September 2004, Serenissima Ristorazione inaugurated the “Bivio Vela” Council Cooking Centre in Pavia: an innovative example of project financing in cooperation with the Pavia Town Council.In 18 months Serenissma had constructed a centre able to provide 10,000 meals a day, serving all the state schools and canteens in the province of Pavia. The Bivio Vela centre works at full standard and there are numerous advantages that our management offers.
These important projects involve the entire Serenissima team: technicians, management, operators, all united in creating the most modern and advanced centres in Italy in both terms of hygiene-health, streamlined production and technological equipment.
